I couldn't detail a car if it was voted best JDM for a show...but a lot of people seem to like the Meguiar's line....

Nice car....

What's done to it so far?

start with a good detailer, then go drop about $150 or so on some products to keep it as close to that quality as possible.

i agree. i've tried some very good Meguire's products. a polish and wax. not stuff you find at pep boys or kragen. you have to go to a stor that sells detail products. it worked very well.

good luck. black is a pain.. believe me, i know <--- MBP itr

Poor car so much swirls... Sucks to have a black car :D i have a black ek4 and it sucks maintaining paint. Try to have it detailed then have it sealed with sealant then just maintain it.

I cant see how bad those swirls are but trying using a bottle of "3M swirl mark remover." I have heard nothing but good things.

I recently high sped buffed my car and I made the paint all wavy looking (first time...)

Im to use the 3m swirl mark remover ($12) with a few cutting pads to even out the paint, and then use Wolfgang pre-wax cleaner and then the Wolfgang sealant on top of that.

After that, Im gonna top it off with a layer of s100 wax. It took a hole in my pocket to buy this stuff, but Im willing to spend that much to make the paint look good. Ill post pics when I do it tomrrow.
