FS: STOCK PY ITR for $30,000...anyone's car here?
I don't know, paying $30k for a stock ITR.... I don't think its a typo cuz he had it on the headline and also in his discription. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...=1513

2001 ACURA INTEGRA, Type-R yellow. 4 cyl, 5 spd, all power, alarm, am/fm stereo, air bags, ac; original owner, all stock, must see & drive, 40,000 mi., $30,000, 661-304-6322

Why would someone pay that much (assuming no typo) whne they can get these two instead:

Bakersfield huh? Sounds like this seller needs to stop baking pot brownies 'cuz' that price is a little hiiiiigh.
Maybe they just accidentally typed $30,000 instead of the $17,500 that it's worth.

Yeah, a stealership a few months ago had two ITR's. One was 24K and the other was $25,999.
Matter fact they were listed on autotrader. One had mileage in the 40's and the other the 30's.

Hmmm, lets see $30K can get you a brand spankin new EVO IX or you can pay a 100% markup on a 6 year old ITR? Which one do you think the "spoiled rich kid" is gonna pic? And even if he was shopping pre-owned, there are plenty of E46 M3's available in the $27K to $32K price range. Which would you rather drive?

Mine only has 17,000 miles looks like it rolled of the showroom floor. I can sell you that for $30K. Never been tracked either.
Yeah right.
Seriously, it depends on your perspective. I would gladly pay more for an unmodified car. $5-10K more... probably not, but a modified car can be a real nightmare, because everybody thinks they are an engineer. Then they add some super wazooo stereo and screw up the electrical too. All in all they can be (not always) less powerful, handle worse, less reliable, and a bigger thief magnet.
Not all mod'ed cars are like this but I've seen enough people ruin a good car with mods, I wouldn't take a chance. Yes it's a generalization, and yes some of you will be insulted, but it's just IHMO.

You can buy an Evo all day long (I used to own one), ITR's are out of production. I admit the price is a bit high. But who are we to put a value on something that is no longer in production and limited might I mention..which has a HUGE demand for.
I searched for 4 months before finding the ultimate un-molested PY ITR which I purchased a bit more then what the usual "market" sells them for.
But.....As mentioned above..As a "collector"..I was a buyer who was willing to pay more for a car that hadn't been de-virginized of its Honda Factory tightness.
These are really narrowing down to enthusiasts, and not market driven cars.
So to the narrow minded people above saying.."yo dawg, thats way too much for DAT car y0" ..sound plain STUPID
I'd like you to speak that kind of jibberish to the Classic Camaro and Mustang owners who are paying 6 digit figures for these cars that were no more then 3-4k brand new..as low as 5-600 dollars during the lack of gas in 1974.
I think it personally pretty immature to go into a board and see a bunch of owners of this amazing collector car..knock someone for not pricing there car ..based of the "belittled" Kbb or what YOU think its worth...
But again, this is Honda-tech..
Full of lovers and Haters
Good luck to whomever is selling it, and FYI..It is getting VERY hard to find clean titled MINT Itr's.
