My father is driving this Accord 2.0 SM4 carb manual and due to his age, he decides to go easy with the traffic and wants to switch to automatic.
I`ve sat in one (SM4 carb)..and it`s still quite powerful even driven hard.

Yeah, another thought in mind:
i) Can this SM4 fit newer generations of Accord`s automatic transmission (Is it Accord SV4, the model after SM4?). I've asked other forumers, and they said it can fit the CB3 which comes with the added "Sports mode" function.
Want a taller final drive ratio for better fuel economy, cause present manual
transmission makes the engine revs quite high.

ii) can it (the automatic gearbox) fit the fuel-injected models, into a carb engine?

The local half-cut shops here aren't at interests of giving more convieniece for it's buyer but rather interested in more profit (and it's also illegal to install a half-cut onto the car); when I asked "can I buy just the essentials like gear shift module and the transmission", they would rather insist changing to a half cut together with a DOHC engine and the tranny. they refuse to sell just the gearbox.
