Need help!!!
I was adding oil to my car and I accidently forgot to put the oil filler cap back on. I got in the car and started it and it ran for a few seconds and died. I thought it was because the cap was off so I put the cap back on and it still wont start. Does anyone have any ideas. Im desperate.
It wouldn't have died because the cap wasn't on. I've goofed up and drove my car for miles with no cap on. Did oil spray out everywhere in you engine bay? If so, check to see if the oil may have flowed all over your dizzy or something.
First thing that came to mind was oil sprayed everywhere but not a drop. I was reading another post which said something about the spark plugs having oil on them and not starting. Im going to go check that real quick. Any other ideas.

I swear some cars do **** like that. They will not start, run like ****, die for no reason. Then all of a sudden its fine. They fix themselves. For a little while make sure you have a cell phone, in case it happens again.
