26's.....ride height.....fender clearance...and the rules...
i finally got around to working on my car last night and pulled the fenders off to get rid of some annoying headlight wiring and stuff....figured while they are off.....i'd ask to see if they need to be trimmed any for 26's, or if the rules even alow for it (i plan on running this car spfwd not just nopi) i never really took a close look at the fenders on anybodys car this year....can you get by with just raising the coilovers? james i know you will read this.....did you guys need to trim your fenders? i know on felix's hatch they cut off a good amount and run spfwd...but thats the only car ive noticed in spfwd with hacked up fenders. considering i still only have stock axles..i dont really see myself running the big tire anytime soon...but it would be easier to prepare for it now.
that same car runs a rear defuser on the rear bumper.....is that legal for spfwd? i thought i remembered seing that it wasnt...but i think i recall a few cars running with it this year anyways.
thanks

hahahaha yea...i def. know the NHRA tire rules......
i dont plan on running anything bigger than a 24.5x9 in spfwd trim......but it looks like 26's will be mandatory to run in T4....... so i'd like the fenders to alow the 26 inch tire even though i'll be on the little tire most of the time. hope this makes sense

I thought i remembered hearing that James/John have 2 sets of fenders, one cut and one not. Actually, i think i remember seeing it with the non cut ones on at nhra, you could tell cause the bumper was still cut for the other fenders. You can fit 26's w/o cutting, but that car just looks silly! lol

yeah at the beginning of the season we were under the impression that NHRA didn't allow cut fenders, but apparently were wrong cause others have run cut fenders in NHRA so we actually have 2 sets of fenders
1 for NDRA that are cut 1" all the way around for added clearance with 26"
1 for NHRA uncut
the way the car is setup between the two trims regardless of what size tire or fenders we have on the car we don't have to adjust ride height at all so it is a nice compliment
Uncut for NHRA - you can see the fender stick out further than the bumper (white outline on MazWorx sticker)

Cut 1" for NDRA (black mazworx sticker)
