Woo hoo! After one week of bonding, sanding, painting, sanding, and more sanding, i've finally managed to help my friend fix his front cowl! Heres some pix i took

As you can see I didn't do a good job up top
Hopefully light sanding + buffing will help smooth and blend in the paint. But hey, what can one expect from a $30 do-it-yourself paint job

Not bad for an amateur repair job
I hate to tell you , but unless you plastic welded it, it will stress crack. It is only a matter of time
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but i have seen fiberglassed, and 2 part epoxy fixes. Nothing works as good as plastic welding and refinishing.

I've told my friend to go with aftermarket flushmount turn signals. A lot less stress during higher speeds -> less likely to tear the reapaired portion off. Hopefully it will last him a while until he can get it professionally repaired. Thanks for the tip!
