1988 CRX si stock ZC SOHC with pipe ran great for long a time. but now I turn the car on to let it worm up and idles normal until I drive it then the idle stays high at like 1200-2000 rpms and wont go normal until I turn it of and stat it up again idles normal until I press the gas peddle and the idle gos high again. I checked the throttle cable and it is not sticking. thanks for any help

 

im not an expert , but if its fine until you hit the acceleration it might be your TPS sensor.

 

or a stick thottle body plate. does it go down if you blip it?
