at start up there's a knocking/pinging sound in my b16, then quits after a few seconds! and at idle at driving at 3500 rpms it makes the same sound but quite though! i added engine oil 10-30wt, because it was low and was flashing in my gauge cluster! and still makes noise at start up and driving.

Your oil light was coming on? You probably spun a rod bearing. Is it a really loud knocking noise? If it is, then time for a rebuild/new engine.

i just notice it last friday, and never drove it since today! its not real loud, just at start up and then quits! does make a pinging sound when driving over 3500rpm's in any gear, and doesnt make a sound when driving under 3500rpm's! the pinging noise is likely coming from behind the head, (intake manifold side)! it must be the oil! the dipstick didn't indicate any oil on it! but when i topped it off its good! but still has that pinging sound! it a fresh rebuilt engine with now 2k miles on it!

fixed that for you. Who knows you might be able to save it but i wouldnt hold my breath.

 

my y8 did that **** tore it apart throw a bearing and the rod chewed that **** up from hell and back also clogged my oil filter and put metal shavings in my oil pan and filter. better check that **** out mine was also a week after i noticed the knocking when it went out.
