Finishing the A/C Removal
I finally removed the black box under the dash that weighed about 5 lbs which completed the A/C removal in my car. If you dont know, like I didn't, this peice is also used to direct the air to the different vents, so when its removed, all the air just goes straight to the passenger floor. I've been driving around like this for about 6 months and I'm about tired of not being able to defrost my windows on rainy days and the whole system not working right.
I know that one solution is to get the peice from Non-A/C Integras, but i dont know the part number or name of the peice and also am not sure about spending ~$100 for one from Acura. It would also probably put the weight that was removed right back.
Does anybody know if there is a way to direct the air with that expandable/bendable metal ducting or a dryer vent hose or something like that?
And if that wont work, does anybody have the non-AC part that will work and doesnt want ~$100 for it?

Just pull the condenser out of the black box, then re-insert the box back in. The condenser weighs 5 of those 6 lbs, and you get proper air routing again.

I thought about doing that already, but it looks in there pretty solid. Should I just take the butt of a bat to it and just bang it all out? Have you dont this before?
