The Honda dealer I work at typically quotes around $750 or so for four cylinder models. The price of the water pump and timing belt are included. It's probably another $50 to $100 to get it done at an Acura dealership.
An independent Honda-specialty shop will do it for less than that. Probably around $300 to $400 I'm guessing.
I do the job for friends for the cost of a dinner as long as they buy all the parts and fluids.

My Honda dealer quoted me $324 for labor. They would put their parts on or parts that I bring them. I think I am going to Buy OEM Acura parts online and let them install them. Their part prices were retail. Another small shop that I trust quoted me $265 for labor. For the small difference I will let the dealer do it.

I got a timing belt, water pump, and tensioner pulley combo, all OEM Honda parts, from inlinefour.com for right around $200. I would go that route and bring the parts to the dealer (actually I did it all myself but in your case take it to the dealer).
I also replaced my camshaft oil seals, the crankshaft oil seal (oil pump) and spark plugs and fuel filter while I was in there.

Wow. That's a hell of a price. When I was shopping around to find a shop to do it for me, the best price I could come up with was more than 500, which is why I ended having a friend teach me to do it myself.

it didn't cost $200 for the parts and install, he bought all of the parts himself (water pump, belt, tensioner, etc) for that much, then installed it himself. If you used the quote that ugotdubbz stated ($324 for labor), it would still come out to $524, or $465 from the local shop.

No, I know.. but all the shops I called were quoting me only for labor
I guess I didn't really look around all that hard, though.

Thats alot of money, i think you oughta sit this one down and try to fix it yourself because you will save awhole lot of money. I've replaced belts before and its not very hard. Now if you're changing the water pump too, then there will be more work involve.
but hey if you got the money, do whatever you want, bring it to a shop to get it professionally done. $400+ sounds about right.
