have an LS motor.. on the intake side.. the cam gear loosened.. probably from not being torqued down properly.. the cam gear loosened like an inch out.. belt was still on though.. one day i just started the car.. and then like 10secs it just cuts off.. then i doesn't wanna start after that.. it trys too.. and i here a popping sound from my exhaust.. but that it.. not sure what is wrong.. can anyone help? thanks

Sounds like at the least, your timing belt has skipped a few teeth. It will need to be re-timed correctly.
