Default what Is the loudest ca intake for a '00 teg ls?

I'm really just looking for an intake that is louder than the rest. I am not at all impressed with the k&n intake. It doesn't sound that good or that loud. I am a noob but I hope to not get treated like dodo on my first post so only helpful answers please. I have been lurking around here for a while and I like what I see so far.

Maybe one from here would be louder than the regular aluminum tube with filter on the end type like AEM. I have no experience with intakes so I don't really know. whats dc2 and dc5?

I appreciate any help.

to be honest you wont get much of a response, if you do, it wont be positive.... but FYI, a short ram intake will be "louder" than a CAI.

I've never really been able to hear a cai on a gsr, including the aem v1, but I've heard the v2 is different. I don't know from experience. Short rams are always louder, as somebody above stated, with the exception of K&N, which I had on my GSR and couldn't hear at all.

All intakes are the same. But a SRI is going to be louder.

the meanest-loudest intake i've had was an aem short ram on a 99 accord v6

the loudest intake i've had was a swollen-*****-intake (forget what those are called) on my 96 civic ex

not that i ever bought an intake for the whole purpose of being loud...

like everyone else said, a short ram will be louder than a cold air

just get a SRI intake off of EBAY and put a KN filter on it and call it a day.

Just how much HP are you expecting? B/C an intake is not going to make a noticable difference on your car, except for being loud - which it seems is what you're looking for. AEM V2 claims to be the loudest.

AEM V2 is really damn loud... i had it in my GSR for a year and everytime the secondaries opened my car sounded like a ramapaging elephant! i was told that my engine with the intake was louder than my exhast (apexi WS2).
if you want loud go with this, i dont know about SRI cuz i havent put one in yet...

My AEM CAI on my 90 teg is deep all the time but after 5K u can actully hear the air being pulled into it. On a 95 GSR that i installed a CAI on it wasnt loud at all. It was my exgirlfriends car but she didnt care cuz her car is faster than mine anyway
