Default 8" wheels on an EP/EM/ES

I'm looking for someone out there who's got them. I need to know the offset spec that keeps them from rubbing on anything. By my best math... its about 33, but if someone's got them, and the wheels go lock to lock without hitting the fender liners, and the car can sway left and right without rubbing, thats what I'm looking for. Looking at 225mm tires, and plan on raising the car if necessary to get the necessary clearance to pull it off. I just need to know that they niether stick out nor hit something inside.
TIA

i use 15x7.5" wheels. the offset is +43. i had to add 5mm spacers in the rear because i was having an interference issue with the LCA on the right under compression. a larger diameter wheel wouldn't have this issue.

i use 225/50-15 tires.

This is probably good to know. You're effecively running a 38 offset back there, which is the same as the 16x8s I'm looking at. So presumably the extra 1/4" they'll stick in won't matter. Just how close are you to the suspension inside and poking out of the fenders on the outside?

hmmm. i never measured the distance inside. the rear tires are estimatedly 1/16-1/8 of an inch from the flat face that delineates the rear fender arches. i checked it by putting a wood panel outp this edge and looking at the clearance. i haven't had any issues since, nor do my tires rub. i had ~800# of bagged top soil in the hatch 2 weeks ago. i thought the tires were going to touch the fenders, but they didn't.

Well thanks guys... I'm beginning to think more and more this will fit. The wheels would be 16x8, +38. By all number punching I could muster up, they'll fit. My car isn't rediculously low, I was more worried about hitting the fenders because of the tire width, but I can adjust the ride height if I end up hitting the fender tops.
If I have slight issues, a 5mm spacer could take care of that, its just going more than 5mm with a correction that I don't want to do.

i don't think you'll have any issues. even at 7.5" of width, the 225s bulge out a little. i think you will have the rear tires be as close to the fender (vertically) as mine. i only have eibach sports to lower my car.
