I don't know what it is called... it is the little bar that holds the door and prevents its from moving any further... anyways i need to know how to replace it, because one windy day i opened my door, and the wind blew my door forward, bent the hinges and broke the holder. so if anyone know's how to replace it plz help...

 

You're talking about the check strap. Its bolted to the door jamb and to the inner part of the door shell. Depends on how it broke. Most of the time you can take the inner door trim panel off and unbolt that side and punch out the little pin on the door jamb side. reverse procedures to put it all back together
