So I've looking into some SEMA threads and see pictures of the '06 Civic SI by SKUNK2,
but I don't see any in depth info on it. So to answer everyone's curiosity on the subject everyone who has any pictures and info on it throw'em in this thread.

This is what I have:
Powertrain - from Skunk2

* forged aluminum pistons
* forged chromoly connecting rods
* ported head
* prototype camshafts
* adjustable cam gears
* forged stainless steel valves
* titanium valve retainers
* prototype header
* prototype intake






Other chassis/suspension mods include Brembo brakes, 13-inch/4-piston front and 11-inch/2piston rear, and 18-inch Volk Racing wheels.

Interior mods feature Recaro/Braille carbon/kevlar racing seats, Willans harnesses, a full-on rollcage, and AiM data acquisition system. No word on where and when this car will be raced.

The flat black look seems to take every "femenin" aspect out of the new civic SI. Flat black would be a cool idea as an available option from a manufacturer, I mean think about the savings in paint process alone!

what paint is that? is it just flat black paint?

 

satin/flat black has never looked so good

 

how many lbs does the new si weigh? curious cause the last gen weighed a ton

Other powertrain goodies include a custom forged aluminum flywheel with steel face, custom twin-disc carbon clutch, high-volume injectors from RC Engineering and a Hondata ECU.

* stiffer springs - 1800 lb front/2200 lb rear
* Moton shocks
* lower arm bar

same here, does anybody know how to get a clean as flat black paint job like that?

 

i really did not like the new si's at all when they came out and the prototype pictures were out but they grew on me FAST, and now that some companies are putting out some modded ones im loving them alot. skunks is bad ***

 

BTW guys, the new Civic Si was not the first of Skunks's FLat black look. The RSX was the first built in this fashion but the theme was "Drag" not "Roadrace" look. Here are some pictures.
