well i bought one of those open cats or whatever from ebay and they that O2 whole on the bottom, its got a bolt through it...does anyone know the dimesions of this bolts? i know the head is big probably like 22mm or something...any help is appreciated ..thanks..

reason why i asked is cuz it must've loosened up and it fell out ..and now i have a whole there...and i need to seal it up..

I'm not understanding what you need to do.

You need to find a bolt that has the same thread pitch as some other bolt that was in this location?

You need to replace the bolt? Is that it?

Grab a thread gauge and just check the pitch, then go get yourself a bolt (that matches the threads) and bolt it back in.

 

so the cat had a bolt in a O2 hole that has fallen out? The bolt is a pain to find. I would go to a mechanic or muffler shop and ask for a bad O2 sensor that they were going to throw away and use that to plug up the unused bung.

 

I come up with 18mm X 1.5mm pitch...

You can probably find an old spark plug that size for the time being...

put some high temp thread locker before u put it back in. Cuz u know how when things heat up, they expand and thats probably how the original bolt came out

 

You can get an O2 sensor plug.

Check eBay for one. You can find them at a lot of different places. I had a plug in my downpipe that I would use when I wasn't using my wideband.

Either that, or like already suggested, pick up a broken O2 sensor and throw it in there.
