Default Acura Legend question

Do these cars require premium unleaded or just basic? I'm talking about the 91-95 specs of the Legend. Thanks in advance.

Premium is what it says, 87 is what I used to put in it.

u can runn any grade u want... but i recommend 91+ but if u runn anything under, your ecu will auto redo the timing to adjust to it but you will end up running hella bad.

Next question I have is, do these cars have potential? I'm thinking about buying one but the comments I find on websites are not great.

They all complain there's basically no aftermarket. You can do a six speed swap, type II engine swap (which gets you 230 hp), CAI, springs, shocks, wheels, brakes, that's pretty much it. What about an accord coupe if you're looking for something similar with aftermarket support? Good luck!

SMSP can make a y-pipe for you. 10 whp gains on a Type I.

The car has potential, you just have to work at it harder since parts aren't readily available. My coupe ran 15.5 stock, got it down to 14.8, and that was before the SMSP y-pipe and a couple other mods.

The legend is a really cool car, no doubt. I like it alot. I think I also saw a few people doing pseudo custom turbo's, and at least one person has done a 3.5L RL block swap with type II heads, custom headers, etc. I love cars that don't have a big aftermarket following, you never run into ignorant kids who have just bolted a bunch of random parts together because their buddy told them it was right

Yeah the Legend is very nice and unique. Since I live in California, its filled with the typical Hondas. I'm trying not to go in that crowd
