Cheap way into Video Recording?

I have a relatively inexpensive Canon digital camcorder (ZR400, IIRC) and a rollbar mount. Works pretty well. If I wasn't a cheapskate, I'd get a firewire card for my PC and transfer to the HD, but I haven't bothered yet - I tend the watch the video a few times, then erase it for the next session.
i like this myself.
A lot of people have used this combo and like it very much. I think it gives you a lot more versatility in camera placement.

as for editing programs, windows movie makers has been fine for me. I don't do anything fancy, it's basic and easy to use. You can download the latest version thru windows update or going to microsoft's website.

Yeah, but my 2nd PCMCIA slot is busted and I'm not paying to have it fixed - my personal PC is an old laptop ($100).
