Default installed my 98 frontend, headlights and type r lip today and.........

did a half *** job on it.

the body shop that installed my old bumper, used (3) 10mm bolts to hold the bumper and fender together and guess what?

the ******* 2nd bolt it bent up like an "L". there is no freaking way i can take this out with the tools i have. Spent a long as time wondering why the 2nd bolt isn't coming out, and i said F it and ripped the bumper out since i wont be needing it and it was already torn up.

then i realised the the 2nd bolt, holding the bracket or bumper stiffener was bent up badly.

so, i had to mickey mouse my bumper so that i can drive it. i tried to saw it off, tried to bent it back straight and all it did was mess up my fender.

Anyone know where or how I can get this bolt removed?

Also see how the body shop did at matching my color?

Even if your painter gets the correct color code and what not... It still wont match the old (2 year) paint.

If you do get it repainted, what you can do to make it match better is to claybar your old paint and wax that bitch.

Is that lip OEM?

Sawing it off is the best way IMO. If there is room or you are good with a grinder grind the head down and the use some vice grips and then just spin it down and out.

If they dont repaint it for free, then you should sit outside of thier property everyday with a lawn chair and show all prospective customers the job they did.

OR you can pay an illegal mexican to sit there for like $1 an hour and you can go to work and make like 15-20 dollars an hour. No offense to Mexicans.

if the *** end of the bolt is bent, just take a dremel with a cutting wheel and cut off the bent portion...

Did this 1g paint job consist of only the exterior? Or did it also include the door jams and engine bay?

anyone know if homedepot can loan me a dremmel toolset so that i can cut that bent bolt out? dont feel like taking it to the shop and leaving the car there for the whole day just to remove the bolt.

also called the bodyshop today and they will not repaint my bumper. good thing i paid via VISA. i will call visa tomorrow and tell them that i am not satisfied with the services provided to me.

i shouldnt even of paid. i should have grab my bumper and took off without paying.

I know they did paint my bumper, and it took them 2 weeks, but they have to understand that i paid $225 and for what? im gonna waste more money to get it to match, or pay another 1g+ to redo the entire car.

visa will prolly take my side.

Just to let you know, my body shop didn't match the color of my front bumper to the rest of the car neither. Remember, fresh paint is much brighter. Good news is, after about 6 months the paint has lost its brightness and now matches.

well, at least ur body shop used the correct paint.

again, the paint my car has is lexus pearl, and color they did for my bumper is championship white.

there is no way in hell its going to match 6months later unless lexus pearl is the same as championship white.

That's so cheap. I was quoted at one shop, $800 to have my front bumper painted. Mayco said $300. I just have a Milano red 92GSR.
