suspension advice!
i need new shocks / struts.
i think im going to go for the itr shocks / struts.
should i use the itr springs, or keep the "H&R Race" springs?
and yes i did search but couldnt come up with the opinion that i needed.
also if anyone has the itr setup how do they like it?
i need the itr rear LCA's correct?
this is going onto a 95 gsr!

par of the reason you stock shock have blowen is because the car has been lowered. Just putting ITR shock on wont really help this.
Why no look into some koni or tokico shocks and then stick the the H&R's. I think you will be much happier, and you dont have to swap out the LCA's

this is a true statement..lol
but what do you think about just putting on all of the itr suspension?
shocks/struts, springs and obviously the rear LCA's? its a better ride than i have right now. also im sure it will handle good.. (correct?)
or
?..heh

It will handle better because of the different spring rates and ride height. Dont forget that the ITR handels better because of a lot of changes to the car, not just the suspension.
By the time you buy all of the ITR parts and swap them onto your car you could of bought a really nice set of springs and shocks, and maybe even upgraded a few other parts.

yea, you can make your car handle alot better than a stock itr with good aftermarket parts. also, with the stock itr strut/shocks and springs you will not be able to have your car lowered the way you like.
there are so many different used and new aftermarket parts for the integra. i suggest you search and look at what you really want.

i say koni yellows.............. they are NICEEEE..... i like them alot.. i have tokico shocks and ground control coils on my gsr ... but i drove a friends gsr and he has ground control coils and koni yellows... and they are NICE .. but a little pricy.. but in my opinion... it hink they are worth it... and oh yea... keep the h&r's they are not bad...

well i looked at tirerack.com and they have the koni sports. they are yellow and $124 a pc. so i was just making sure those are the same as the "yellows"
what do you think about the KYB AGX?
what do you think about the KYB AGX?
I would say get the Koni Yellows. I have them on the car and love them. Look in the sponsor section they have real good deals on them. The KYB AGX aren't bad, but if your really gonna dump the car then go with the koni's. KYB's are good for daily driving and for a mild drop, anything more will require a stiffer shock.

well actually i can get the itr shocks / springs from http://www.passwordjdm.com for $199, and the rear LCA's for $79.
just for the koni yellows its nearly $550 i believe.
i already have a set of H&R Race springs..

In order to use the itr rear shocks you need to swap out the rear trailing arms. Which is the 5 lug conversion and that goes for about 1500 for the front spindles and rear trailing arms. Then if you want to use the itr shocks you need the itr rear lca's cause the itr rear shocks mount differently.

You can trade the lower control arm on Integras. You dont have to buy an entire 5-Lug setup to run the rear lower ITR control arms and shocks!

You'll like the ITRs for a while, but then you'll end up spending more money in a better suspension, I know this cuz I know a couple of ppl that bought ITRs suspensions and dumped them after a couple of months. Save yourself the time, money and hassle and for the koni.
well passwordjdm.com has the front and rear struts / springs for $199. ( http://www.passwordjdm.com/pro...D=216 )
and then the rear LCA's are $79. So its roughly $280 before shipping.

You are a ******* retard. Where in this thread was there any discussion whatsoever of a coilover system? GTFO.
Another question for the poster: Did you buy your H&Rs for the amount that they dropped your car, or did you buy them for the handling characteristics? Because if you like the look of the H&R springs, you aren't going to like the ITR setup. It's not much of a drop at all. It will probably handle better than your former setup, however.
I'm also going to just vote for buying a nice set of Tokico/Koni/KYB shocks and adding them to your springs instead of doing the ITR changeover. Less hassle, and you'll end up with better results for not much more money.

yea yo .. like i said.. go with koni yellows... i knoe they are pricey but they are worth it... the itr set up its not gonna drop as much as the h&r ... if u want ur car like slammed... your not gonna be happy with the itr setup... and also like everyone said itr is a hassle now and gonna be in the future.... i say keep the h&rs if you like the height of the ride and go with the yellows... tokico is alright .. i have them on my gsr right now... but i would much rather go with something u can adjust...
