fixing wrecked integra
One of my buddies wrecked his 01 integra gsr a couple nights ago. He was driving down the street when he saw a box in the road, for some reason pulled the e-brake and then spun his back end out and hit the curb. Unfortunately I was not there to see the accident so I don't know first hand how bad it was but he and others told me that the rear wheel was bent in so far that the outer edge was facing the ground. I know that the rear suspension would definitely have to be replaced, but do you think it's possible that it did not do any damage to the frame? I was just wondering because I told him I possibly wanted to buy it from him if it was damanged enough so I could use the motor in my civic.
Obviously the suspension will be shot. As for frame damage, it's really hard to say considering a lot of factors. Best bet is to bring it to a shop and have them tell you what's up.
there is a good chance he bent or even ripped up part of the sub frame, this is where the LCS bolt up to.
If he only hit the rear wheel he might of gotten away with just suspension and sub frame damage, if he hit the entire side of the car he could of bent the frame up. How fast was he going?
Either way take it to a shop with a frame rack so they can see if the frame is damaged
