Default D16y8 complete swap worth it?

I have a friend who is selling his y8 out of his 98 civic, it has close to 100,000 miles on it, the previous owner had nitrous run thru it, then a turbo, then the turbo was taken off, and was used as a stock N/A motor, with stock internals, never been rebuilt, and is extremly gut less (probably rings, timing and valve lash) he is selling everything, ECU, tranny, axles, and complete motor, with intake manifold that has an adj. fuel reg. and exhaust manifold, he wants $300, is this a good price for this motor, considering it will probably have to be rebuilt before I do anything with it?

did he beat on it? probably, anyway see if he'll go down to 200, but even 300 isn't to bad, i'd say its worth it if your goin to rebuild anyway, one of the best d series

yeah, he raced it back when it had the turbo on, and he really hated driving it the way it is now since it was so slow, but yeah, I have seen him beat on it (grinding 2nd gear, revlimeter for a couple seconds, trying to do burnouts (wich it cant do since its so weak) and of course seeing how fast it can go)
