Koni yellow height adjustable?!?!?
my friend bought a set of koni yellow and i asked how is the handling. he told me it was good and he also said that the shock is height and damping adjustable?!!? i didnt believe him so i gotta ask u guys if its true
Yes the koni yellow is Damper Adjustible.
I would also say that they are hight adjustible to an extent. Their are 3 setting of spring perches for the rear and 2 for the front for the civic/integra application. They arent like coilover adjustible where you can dial in to an exact hight, just settings.
Neuspeed makes the koni yellows with 5 adj. settings for ride hight.

With GC coilovers you can have custom rates for your needs whether it's for daily driving for track use and you can set the height to whatever you want.
With just eibach springs (pro kit & sportline) you only have one spring rate to choose from and if you adjust the height via koni shocks theres only 3 settings.

No, you use your stock mounts as shown in the above photo.
The photo shown above is actually a Koni 1150 Coil-over kit and not the normal set of Sports. The 1150 is a threaded height adjustable syustem and is not the circlip adjustable system as is being discussed in this thread. The upper perches shown are stock units used both by Sports and the 1150 kit. Clear as mud?

Does someone happen to have a closer pic of the height adjustments on the Koni's? Any one know how much height adjustment it allows? Per adjustment or even lowest to highest.
Thanks
Thanks

Quick question, does the lowest spring perch setting (closest to the ground when the shock is installed on the car) let the car sit lower and visa versa.

Yes, the lower the perch is the lower the car will sit. Remember there are many other factors in making your suspension wok so don't just expect to put the perch in the lowest location with a lowering spring as well and expect all to be good. The lowering perches are designed to allow you to lower the car slightly while using the stock springs. Lowering the car with the perches and a lowering spring is a cumulative effect and one can easily over lower the car for proper function.

These are great for the bumpy roads in Norway or generally scandinavia because of the long travel lenght. Omnipower/Tein etc is useless on our roads because the wheels will lift.. And thats scary.. No traction..

As a strut insert that goes inside the factory housing, you will be reusing the factory spring perch as stock but you will have the Koni performance internals.

A chrome plated lower stock shaped spring perch does come with the Konis and that is what sits normally on the movable circlip that makes the system height adjustable. If you put a threaded coil-over sleeve system on the shock instead, don't use the Koni supplied lower perch.

not to jack the thread... but is it possible to change the height without taking the shock off the car? can i just put a spring compressor on it while its disconnected from the the LCA and pop the circlip up or down? and the top setting nets a higher ride height, correct? I dont see why this couldnt be done... my springs are so short anyways

It is a real PITA to get the spring compressors in where it needs to go to do it on the car. One time nearly 10 years ago I moved a circlip by one groove on the front of my CRX and it was a PITA and took forever. Although I thought it would be quick, it pronbably took 2-3 times as long and put my fingers much more in jeopardy of getting smashed as pulling the whole damper off the car and doing the work on a bench with plenty of room. We are only talking about less than half a dozen nuts or bolts and the whole thing is free of the car. You can try doing it on the car but my experiences say to simply remove it from the car.
