hey guys,
i have a 91 hb dx and im gonna sell it and get a 4 door model around the same year. are the 4 door engine bays the same? as far as mounts. like i noticed when hasport says 88-91 civic/crx, is that including the 4 door? also do they have any different front ends that you can get for the car. im just asking all the ?s because I hate the way they look factory but when hooked up look great.

The mounts are exactly the same. The only big difference in the engine bays is the bumper (if mounting an IC) and hood. If it's an LX/EX, you'll also have PS (different rear xmember than manual steering, but same engine mount), Cruise box/cable, and AC. As for the bumper/body kits, I can't think of any that are really made for the 4door...that look good. Outside of a front lip from a teg/accord or a JDM front end, I wouldn't try doing much to it. But then again, I'm going more for the old skool/sleeper effect.

 

also the jdm front is not the same as a sir.

 

how much do these 4 doors weigh in at? also if I remove the power steering how hard are they to drive, hopefully not to much harder than the hb. hiprofile, is your 4 door quick witht that swap? whats ur e.t.
