Clutch Pedal (searched!!)
Hey I have a 91 Dx with a JDM D16a swap. The car was auto and was switched to manual as was the motor. My clutch pedal is very strange as is the cable. Clutch feels very slow and very stiff--like it doesnt wanna come back up. I tried adjusting it but it only made things feel worse. The spring on the pedal isnt a normal spring its one of those circular springs (will post pics if needed) The cable seems too long and its not secured as there is no bracket on the valve cover. My question is: What can I do to get this clutch normal again? Would simply replacing and securing the cable be enough? Or should I change the entire pedal assembly as well. Thanks very much!
i'd start with replacing the cable. or, if you can, borrow it from a friend to see if that's the problem.
also, make sure your pedal cluster isn't broken or cracked, and that it moves freely with the cable disconnected.
good luck.
