Lease almost up..Enjoyed all 30k miles
Yeah my time is almost up with the S..I wish i could give it back with exactly the 36,000 miles i'm paying for but it looks like it's going to be about 30k. I have to say this car was an absolute joy to drive the whole way and overall was pretty much un-breakable, as i drove it hard all the way. I did have a timing chain tensioner go on me which cost me 2 weeks without my car in the summer. That was the dealers fault it took so long though. I also had to put a Mugen cat-back on because it sounded like an Accord when i first got it. I thought about buying it out or leasing another because there's not much more fun out there for $31k, but i'm letting it go. Don't know my next move, but i'm currently destroying my stock 97ITR (which only has 31,000 original miles) with turbo and a motor swap
..Anyways, i would definitely recommend the S2k for anyone looking for a great all-around pure sports car, and who knows, i may be back

I need a little more practical every-day car, and it's called a "truck". I work in a trade which requires a lot of tools. Sometimes i do side-jobs and don't want to bring the van home. Let me tell you, it sucks working out of an s2k..I 'm gonna miss having such a fun everyday car though, which is why i considered getting another. Leasing works for me, i like the change..

Maybe you shouldn't limit yourself that way. I do construction, and my S has rarely stepped foot on my worksite. I take my other vehicle, Silverado 1500. Same truck that tows the car to the track. It's recommended everywhere that the S2000 shouldn't be your only car. Just like a motorcycle.

This is true, but in my opinion, it's a waste not to enjoy driving a car like this everyday. It's not like your gonna break it, and it's value depreciates every-day anyways so i like to get my use out of it. If it were a car that i could see myself driving 10 years from now, then i would sit it in the garage and use it on week-ends, but in ten years even Honda will have better cars.

S2K is my only car. I was going to buy a beater but my parents have an extra car. I just take it whenever I can't drive my S. works for me

Funny that, my civic, which has a dohc/turbo setup, is also my play car and the s2k has a stock reliable daily. S2k makes a great reliable daily driver.

3 years, 36,000 miles.. $400 a month comes out to actually paying $14,400..I put some money down though..I don't remember how much ..not a lot..

For someone with no concept of comfort i suppose...i wouldnt daily drive the car if you paid me. (well, depending on how much that may not be true...but i would never choose to daily drive the thing, thats for sure). Reliability all depends on the driver and the abuse...

Why not? I'm 6'2 and almost 200lbs and absolutely loved the car as a daily driver..I had fun everyday, no matter where i went. This is an un-complicated Honda that has daily reliability written all over it..I drove it hard all the way but just took care of it.

I agree...I think he just misses having an s2k in his family...

Haaahahahaha!...this is too true. Even after having my 98 stolen, and this one the victim of attempted theft 3 times, as well as having been keyed twice, the clutch pedal being bent sideways(which it still is), and a hole being burnt into drivers seat, i still cherish this car like it was a ****** Shelby Cobra, or Ferrari F-40..Its amazing that i can't part with it..
