Default Oil Filter??

What is the best oil filter, my dad was buyin one for my ls and some guy was sayin how fram sucks get like mobile 1 or something...wat do u guys use??

there was a filter comparison on here awhile back. The guy took apart the filters and examened the filter element, drain back system and spring. The frams have cardboard in them which in my opinion soggy cardboard is a no no. Overall the STP and Mobil1 filters were built the best and was OEM quality or better, plus they cost less than fram

PUROLATOR!!!!!! NEW OEM ONES ARE MADE BY FRAM I HAVE HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THE OEM ONES HONDA!

I used Fram's alot, I use genuine Honda one's now though, never had a problem w/ the Fram's however.

Mobil 1.. used FRAM.. and no problems.. but Mobil 1 is good.. Bosch are good.. used them too.

can you please explain bad experience? also, when did honda use fram oil filters and how do you know this?

It is actually pretty well knowen that SOME of the OEM honda filters are made by fram.

Check out http://www.bobtheisoilguy.com in the forum there are some great filter debates about what is good and bad, and everything i have read says that fram sucks.


EDIT: do a search on the above link in the oil filter forum. use the words "honda" and "fram" you will see a ton of good or bad info

Get the oem factory honda oil filter, you won't hear many too complaints with that.

What if I don't wanna...j/p...

I use Fram filters for my dad's Subaru and I haven't had any problem yet...I use Acura OEM (Honda OEM watever....) for my TEG...maybe I ought to try the Purolator PureOne everyone's talking about...!
