i was wondering if anybody had pictures of the 2.5 inch magnaflow oval muffler on their dc2 integras. i searched and i found a couple pictures but i'm looking for more. also, if you guys know of any other good 2.5 inch mufflers please let me know. i don't want a fart can style muffler. any help will be appreciated.

 

unfortuately i dont have any pics, but i have a stainless magnaflow 2.25 oval on my ls, with a custom bent exhaust, no resonator. it is fairly loud, but i like it. i recently put one just like it on my gsr, and it is not too loud. but my gsr has a resonator. for the price you cant beat it...

 

thanks for your post fistandauntilus. are you using the 2.25 muffler with custom bent 2.25 piping as well? or are you using 2.5 inch piping?

 

i'm interested in pics of the oval muffler as well. I currently have a 2.25 magnaflow catback with the standard round muffler, and don't really like how the muffler looks. i'm assuming the oval muffler would bolt right up to my magnaflow cat, right? if it looks nicer than the one i have i would probably consider upgrading to it if its not too expensive, how much is it?

i spray painted mine flat black.. and i'm going to have a stainless steel tip welded on. i'll shoot u a pic tomorrow.

 

i am using 2.25 piping for both. btw i have I/H/E my gsr now. but when bought the car it had 2.25 piping with a shitty 1.75 chambered exhaust welded on. when i looked at it i was like WTF?! i found a 2.5 oval on ebay for cheap and that is what i put on my gsr. it was really choking my car, so i got a local shop to weld it on there with a stainless tip now it runs great and looks good....

 

thanks guys. i'll be looking forward to seeing pics liquid ice nf. numotive, i believe you will need to weld it on. the cost for the muffler is around $80 depending where you go.

from experience the maganaflow mufflers get raspy after a while without a resinator. i've had one installed on my b18b1 eg hatch and after 2-3months of using it, it got raspy in high rpms.

There has to be some more people running this muffler. I would really like to see more pix to make sure this is something i wanna do. And thats what the original poster wanted, he only got 1 pic.

 

Welll why dont you look on the web, Im postitive there are pics of the muffler you are looking for.

 

personally i would save my money and buy a Tanabe Super Medallion Racing exhaust. they sound really good and have a really deep non-raspy sound to it. even htoughthey are around 600-700 dollars, it's well worth it.

 

I've been running Magnaflow oval's for years and they have to be the single best "bang for the buck" setup I've ever come across. I can get some pics tomorrow if you want.

I just bought a 01 gsr and it has a apex-i cat back I replaced the muffler with a basic turbo oval 2.5 in and put a magna flow tip on sound great ie not ricey and gives better low end
