Loud whine in 5th Gear HELP.

Loud whine in 5th Gear HELP.
I recently purchased a GSR tranny and everything is mint except when you shift into 5th gear and you can hear a whining sound coming from the tranny. It seems to be loudest when you decelerate. This car will be turbo in about 2 weeks and I dont feel this is safe to run the tranny like this. What could cause this?
