What causes flywheel bolts to loosen?
Just got done doing a clutch job on a b18c1 in a 99 si with a b16 tranny. when i pulled the original clutch off i noticed 2 of the bolts had loosened up and backed out and was grinding against the clutch, and 4 of the other bolts were hand tight. i reinstalled the resurfaced flywheel and torqued it down to 80 lbs and reinstalled everything else. the owner went on a lil 30 min drive and called me back saying it's making the grinding sound that it did with the old clutch, so i'm guessing the flywheel bolts backed out again. should i use some locktite on them and retorque them to 80lbs again?

i've seen many a f'd up clutch job due to no loctite for the flywheel or pressure plate bolts.

I never use loctite and had this problem ONCE. I pulled the clutch three times and on the last time I noticed the flywheel bolts were stamped AT and just then I realized, flexplates are so much thinner than flywheels so the bolts were too short.
