So what exactly is.......

4th and 5th generation. In other words, how would i know if i had 5th generation window washers if i dont know the different generations, please explain?

Um... A 4th Gen is a '92 - '96 Prelude. A 5th Gen is a '97 - '01 Prelude...

That easy.. that complicated..

4th gen was the 4th different generation (or body style) or the Honda Prelude 5th gen is of course the 5th different Body Style
4th gen (92-96)
5th gen (97-01)
Although there are small differences insie each body style they are basically (and I use this vaguelly) the same
