In the long run between the two it'd be a motor swap but right away turbo would probably get you goin pretty quickly

"BEST" is a relative term. I'd say a good paint job.

we have rules against this kind of thread, no threads regarding "what should i do next."

Please end this thread, and if you want advice, you can PM me and I'll talk to you all about cost effectiveness, performance, and aestetics.

ever heard of google? if the kits are from a reputable company it will tell you if its completely bolt on... i believe edlebrock has a kit that is.. either way i'd take it easy on the throttle after the install until you get it tuned properly...

oh you should get some stickers. especially the flames down the side ones, and the nos ones. they make it way faster.

seriously though, this is a rather ridiculous question. it's whatever you want to do to the car man. You so far haven't given a budget so we don't know what you have money to do, nor what you like or what your end result is to be.

Holy ****...you bumped your own thread from 2.5 yrs ago?? Wow...

No turbo kit is hassle free... You add that kind of stress on an engine and you need to give it more attention, overall.
Greddy is easy, but I suggest you do some research (asking is not research)

during this time I have upgraded almost everything and rebuilt a d16y8 to swap in before adding the turbo.

And?
Just because you built the engine doesnt mean you can just slap a turbo on it and be done. You still have to give it more attention.

I find it strange that you would have built the engine without knowing exactly what you wanted....

start from the bottom and work your way up....start with the suspension, get it ready to handle more power by adding polyurethane bushings and aftermarket control arms struts and springs.get some aftermarket wheels/tires it'll make a huge difference in the ride quality of your vehicle
