cd changer question
I have a 99 accord with original 6 disk changer in console. The radio is however a in bad shape but I cannot find an adapter for a new radio to keep using my factory changer. Do I even need one? I could use a little direction in finding one if anybody has the info.
New stereo with cd changer capability and want to keep original 6 disk changer.
Thanks.

just get a cheap factory deck, they are the only plug and play unit out there. all the aftermarket one requires a FM transmittor which created a noise or drone to it.
the factory headunit is cheap and widely availble.

Call up Alpine's customer service and ask them if they have an adapter that would connect the CD changer to an Alpine head unit. I don't know the number but the website is: http://www.alpine1.com
The reason is that the Honda CD changer was most likely made by Alpine (as was the head unit). I know that there are adapters the other way around, I have an Alpine trunk-mounted CD changer hooked up to my Honda head unit in my '99 LX.
