Try adjusting the stiffness on them. I have the same suspension also.

Hi sorry to pop in it's not related to the post but when you say custom rated ra's you mean you could chose the stiffness over/under the origin 14kgf(mm) front and 10kgf(mm)rear?

I want to buy Tein's for my teg but I'm hesitating between the Flex 9 front 4 rear and the RA's 14 front 10 rear. As we can only move 2kgf up or down..

flex are too soft I think as I'll go on circuit regularly with it.

have a clue of what could be a solution?

tks

Are they used? If so, how many miles on them? Any signs of oil leaking or any other clues that they may need a rebuild?

Are the spring rates stock for that application?

Assuming the shocks are in good shape, and the springs are not stiffer than the TEIN recommended, you are probably bouncing off the bumpstops if the car is as low as you claim.

Or, you could be too sensitive and expect the ride to be as smooth as original.

stiffness is adjusted by the amount of clicks at the top of the damper. Unless I have completely forgotten, there should be 16clicks or so.

I have driven on a set on a 99/00 SiR/Si and felt it was rather stiff and acted a bit like a pogo. The car was a bit on the low side and I felt perhaps this was attributed to the fact that the RAs aren't short stroke and lowering them would cause a marked reduction in travel.

This was ofcourse 6years ago and unless the RAs have subsequently gone short stroke, I would not lower it too much but also to note, I live in a city where the roads aren't completely friendly towards lowered cars.

***Make sure you don't turn more than 16 full clicks*** This maybe why you are having such a bouncy, harsh ride.
