Default Tire/rim size

hi guys,

just needed some quick info.

I have an eg hatch with a b16a with bolt ons. Tire/rim combo right now is 215/40/16. how will it affect 1/4 et and mph as compared to 195/50/15 setup. both are street tyres. They both measure out to 21.5 inches in diameter. does it make sense to swap to the smaller combo.

thanks.

If the overall diameter is the same, then gearing wont change, but the weight of the smaller tire/wheel combo would definately help. It also depends on what type of tire. If you have both sets available just try it!

thanks dude. I think the weight issue will come into play. the 15s are mugen c-48s with yok. a520s. while the 16s are asa brand with kumho ecsta.
what and how much should the weight affect.
