hi i was just wondering whats the difference between a b16a1 and the b16a2 ? as i am buying one of these

i have got a chance of getting a b16a2 1992-1996 out of a eg why do you think that it is better ? more performance upgrades ?

B16A1, there is no such thing. Many people say that referring to the 1st gen B16A which is found in the CR-X SiR with a PW0 ECU (OBD0).

B16A2 is found in the US 99-00 Civic Si with a P2T ECU (OBD2b).

The 1st gen B16 has softer cams, is older, and usually comes with a cable tranny.

The B16A2 is OBD2 and is more suitable to swap into 92-00 Civics.

You're right. The only other one it's found in is the US 1996-1997 del Sol VTEC.
