Should I buy this 94 LS Integra?
Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and found it while researching Integras. A co-worker has a Canadian 1994 Integra LS with about 108K miles. That is the conversion miles. It is a 5speed. He wants $3000 for it. It needs the timing belt/water pump replaced which I should be able to do with the help of a friend. It is black but the paint is starting to fade on the hood. The interior is perfect. It has new Goodyear tires, new radiator, new stock exhaust with new cat, new brake rotors and pads, new basic tune up. I have searched Autotrader and can't find anything near this price range and these miles so I THINK it is a decent price. It also has the rust on the back wheel well area. About the size of a quarter. This I can fix myself as well. I will not be racing this car. It will just be used for a DD so that I can part my gas drinking Tahoe. Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to describe it the best I could.
Just check to see how the parts are underneath the car.
any body rust or check to see how the suspension is.
I know up there with all the snow and having lots of salt on the road,
it can do a number to the underbody.
$3000 sounds pretty good, i'd take a 94-95 over the newer ones just because it's obd1.
So if it looks like it's in good shape and no real serious problems, pick it up.

I got my 94 ls with a 00 front bumper & head lights and oem type r lip. 00 tail lights and 99 gsr wheels for $2100 all with 112k on the clock. I doubt you'll get a deal like that but if you can get him down to $2500 you would be getting a real good deal.
Thanks guys, I will try to get him down to at least $2800. He originally wanted $3300. I got him to $3000 so far. It might be a little hard to go much lower since he has replaced so much stuff in the last year. I attend to fix the two small rust spots behind the wheel as soon as I replace the timing belt and water pump. I have a little mig welder and have fixed numerous rust spots like this on older chevy cars. However, I can not paint. I will worry about paint next spring.
Does anyone know if the speedometer and mileage can be officially changed from kilometers to miles? Not that big of a deal, but if I can get it converted for cheap I would do it. I hope the speed bug doesn't get me like it did with my 69 Camaro.

$3000 is good enough a great price and if you don't pick it up trust me for that price it's not going to last long. Being the midwest/winter climate most honda/acura will has some bit or a rust so its not unusual..but if it was me I would take it..
I am going to get it in the morning. I didn't try to talk him down. Mainly because when we were in the parking lot at work looking over it for the last time a couple people came up to us and asked if he wanted to sell it. I knew then I need to stop BSing and get it. I look forward to being on this site a little more.
