Synthetic + Regular oil Mix...?
My mom bought a used car and its low on the dipstick and I need to feel it up a little bit with some oil.How can you tell if this car used synthetic oil or regular? If theres no way to tell can I put regular in there if it has syenthetic safely?
Thanks

I'm not 100% sure on this, but that might be very harmful to the rings, as they will expand or constrict when you change from synth. to reg. or vice versa. Just bump on this question to get a good answer from a pro.
how low is low? is it between the add and full mark? How dark is the oil? I'd change the oil if it looks dark that way I know what's in the crankcase. Just remember to use the right weight oil. If it's not a turbo or new car that requires syn. oil you can get away with using a good conventional oil.
