I think you're in california. Put a straight pipe on there and see what happens when a highway patrol pulls you over.
Just put a cat on there and stay legal. Is it really worth having an illegal car and an obnoxiously ricey sounding exhaust to gain 2-3 horsepower? I don't think so myself.
