Extremely loud, annoying irratating noise coming from under-neath my car...
Okay so this just recently started happening about 3 weeks ago, when i was driving normally, and out of nowhere my car starts this really annoying rattling, it happens when i start it up, and when i start to rev, and then it stops around 3000 RPMs, i've looked underneath and i cant see anything that could really be causing it, i've checked under the hood and still didnt see anything, but i've pretty much narrowed it down to something underneath, anyone have any ideas as to what this could be?
Not sure, i just went out again to see if i could possible see something rattling from underneath, but i didnt see anything.. I dont know TOO MUCH about cars, and i'm beginning to hate the one i have..
It's honestly to the point where it's so loud i feel like an idiot even driving the thing..

mine did that.....it was the heat shield between the gas tank and the pipe. You should be able to see it without jacking up the car

Does anything think they could show me a pic of where the headshields are underneath? I was looking in my car and couldnt see anything that seems like it would be rattling, maybe i'm just looking in the wrong place? (sorry i'm a nub. :x)
i recently had this problem and it turned out to be the header bracket that holds the header up in the back to the block, had halfway broke and was vibrating against my intermediate shaft. good luck and bump
no one answers your questions. I dont have a picture, but the heatshield is the part of the that covers the cat. Its the part right after the header. The cat is inside this shell and the shell is the heat shield. Take it to a mom and pop shop and they will just weld it for you. If its a small crack. Easy fix. I say mom and pop shop b/c its so fast and easy alot of times they wont charge you.
Heat shield, or could be the inner pipe inside the second part of the header (i think this is called the b-pipe). Not sure what kind of motor you have. If you have a staight-through type muffler sometimes the pipe breaks loose on one end and rattles pretty bad.

Have a buddy rev it when your on the ground and listen for it. Or hell jack it up and put it on jackstands and carefully crawl under there and have him rev it. PLEASE BE CAREFUL. Take it to a shop, they will put it up on a rack for nothing and show ya what the problem is. Sometimes if your lucky you can run a wire around it and tighten the heatshield up.
