Default Water leak in door (95 Civic EX)

I just recently had one of my door speakers fry because water had dripped on it. I ordered a new set of speakers to replace the ones I currently have in the door. I was going to put in the new speakers today, but I figured I had better fix the leak first. I used a water hose to figure out where the doors were leaking. It appears that the weather stripping is "short" on the front and back of the window. There's a gap between the weather stripping and where the window actually meets the frame of the door. Water is falling right through these gaps and into my door. I could care less about the water dripping at the rear of my door, but the water in the front is dripping right over my speaker.

Is this a common problem with these Civics? I did a search and found a thread from 2003 concerning the same problem, but it didn't have any response. How do I go about fixing this before I install my new set of speakers?

Thanks!

The caulk won't keep the window from rolling down, right? If so I'll definately try it.

I'm going to bump this once to see if anyone else has another solution. If not I'll try the caulk tomorrow.

Thanks again for looking.

I dont know if i would really want caulk in my door, wouldnt that seal to the window and the molding, and the first time you roll down the window, pull the caulk off?

My car is doing the same thing, its a 97 cx that I just installed power windows in. After a hard rain i'll need to clean the water out. I just replaced the weather stripping, and no more leaking, mine was old and just warped so it let water drip in. I would just replace the stripping all together instead of trying to salvage it.
