clicking noise around crank pulley.
i seem to have a clicking noise coming from the crank pulley area. (not a valve adj issue..believe me i checked)
it only seems to happen after running my car for a bit. it doesnt start right way. it seems to start after about 20 mins of driving. weird thing is that it doesnt do it at night when i drive home from work only when i drive to work during the day.
so im thinking its a cooling issue since it wont do it unless its hot out and driving over 20 mins.
(im trying to give as much info as possible)
i had the timing belt changed about 3 months ago, but not the water pump(the tech said it was fine). new radiator about 1 year ago. all fluids are ok and full. not low on oil, gas, trans fluid, or coolant.
any suggestions? again its not a valve adjustment issue!
thanks
nick

did you also change the tensioner and tensioner spring? something could be wrong with the actual pulley too. Or the water pump is going bad, or just noisy.
I have a similar problem, and I will be changing my timing belt, alt belt, a/c belt, ps belt, tensioner, tensioner spring, and water pump to see if I can get rid of it. I am due for a t-belt change anyway, but it's hard to troubleshoot that area though because of the labor involved without just doing everything in one shot.

yeah thats true.
no i didnt change the tensor. it was a last min timng belt broke job. so alot got skipped for the sake of getting the car running. now i wish everything was done at the time.
let me know how it turns out.
