RSX Price
I'm going to look at a 2006 RSX Type S after work.
It's a "dark grey" color, not sure on the proper name.
It's brand new, the salesmen said the window sticker says $24,600.
What's a good price to pay for a new RSX? Does anyone mind helpin' out? I'm not 100% sure on the car yet, but I don't want to get shafted if I do get it.

i got mine for 22,900 before TTL and they threw in wheel locks and mudguards. i am probably never going to use the mudguards(well, maybe this winter when i go snowboarding).
do not pay more than 22,900.
i paid that price a month and a half ago. i'd expect u pay somewhere near 22,600.
if they ask you if you're going to finance or pay in cash, tell them you're undecided about what you're going to do exactily. tell them when they come up with the bill of sale.
if you have any more questions, go ahead and ask.
p.s. i went through about 8 dealerships to get my price. email places. come up with a bs number and say such and such dealership is willing to give me this price, can you guys beat it?

Did you get any options?
Is the 6 disc cd player worth a ****? and are the stock speakers good sound? By good sound, I do mean for a factory stereo.
I'm not planning on doing many modifications to the car. Probably tint the windows and later on Ill lower it and get I/E/Reflash. I love the way they look.
I have a H22 Hatch, that'll be my little beast and Ill make it a little more hardcore when I get another car. So the RSX would need to be pretty civil.
I'm debating between RSX, S2000, and New Si. Opinions are welcome.

i pmed you back, but here is the response, so that others could read:
dood, i bought an 06 on 9/19 at 8 pm from Jennifer S. at south coast acura. if you feel like overpaying, go ahead. i got the 23,000 from a bunch of dealerships. 23,100 from a lot more. 22,900 from 2 different dealerships. south coast acura and i forgot the name of the other. the 6 disc is stock. there are very few options for you to choose from.
please do not go in the dealership with that kind of mentality. with that kind of mentality, it allows them to rip you a new butthole. they are earning a lot of money even if they sell it to you at 22,900. i highly highly suggest you to shop around. there is no reason for you to over pay. a lot of people paid about the same price as me. dont forget that i bought an 2006 rsx type-s, which is the exact same car you bought, but i bought mine 1.5 months ago, which would mean that it should be a lot more expensive. i was shopping for it when nobody had rsx's, so they could of had marked it up a lot more because of demand.
here was my method:
email a dealership asking what price they would give me. it started off high at about 23,800. i said "sorry, so and so dealership is offer me a way lower price. thank you for your offer." they usually come back with an email and ask what i would be willing to pay. i will then respond with a price and we continue to negotiate. i then take their lowest offer and email another dealership. if they beat, it, i turn around and ask dealership #1 to beat it. if they dont beat it, i email other dealerships. if i realize that no dealeships will beat it, i go back to the dealership with the lowest price and say "so and so dealership is offering 100 dollars less than your offer. what can you do?" they will most likely match it and that is when you go in and buy the car.
1. never tell them if you are going to finance or pay with cash. tell them "i am still unsure if i want to finance the car or pay cash"
2. never let them know if you desperately need a car. tell them you are interested in the car and want to go check it out.
3. if you are a younger or uneducated person, please try and write your essays well. they're going to look at you like an idiot if you say something along the lines of: "hello. i want buy car. how much?"
4. be firm. if a salesman or saleswoman is being an ***, laugh at them and ask for the sales manager and tell them how much of an *** the saleswoman is and you were ready to buy a car, but because of how unpleasent your trip to the dealership was, you are going to leave. the sales manager is now going to ask you how he can make your trip there more pleasent. now the ball is in your court and you have the power. negotiate with him and remember to be firm.
