It depends on the size of the IC. So I would first choose an IC, but keep these characteristics in mind...

lower number of rows and longer row length (eg. 6" tall 22+" long) will give you larger pressure drop (1-3 psi) and will lower velocity.

The more rows and shorter the row length (eg 22+" tall, 6" long) will give you lower pressure drop and increased velocity and typically better cooling efficiency

After selection, determine what space you need to get good surface area coverage, and design from there. If you need to cut the support, plasma cut/cutoff wheel and weld in any additional support needed after removal of material.

^^^^ Listen to Andy he knows his ****...my front mount is the siz of the whole in the front of out bumpers, i just needed to cut some of the plastic out of there to make it fit right, i believe it is about 4in high and 3 in thick nothing to big but i'm not really running high boost so it is perfect...

Andy how is your rex going...i remember seeing your updates on crx.performance but i haven't been on there for a while...

Thanks bud, things are going alright, kinda slow since the summer is gone. I've been working a lot, so not much free time. I'm suppose to get the 8 point cage built in a week or so, so i've been doing some design work in Solidworks, going to be pretty sweet. Once I get the cage in, I can get the glass in and get it on the road, or at least a safe place to tune the car. I've got the wiring pretty much nailed off, and have the ecu ready for data logging and the WB o2 in. Car is running great at idle for a turbo b with 550cc injectors. I picked up a set of 850cc injectors, but holding off on those for a while until I build up a Dart block.

As for info to this post...right now i'm using the Starion IC that I rewelded the end tanks, which will be fine for the ~250 hp i'm making now, but before anything else, i'll be putting in a new core with custom tanks in similar fasion to the short row length IC above. Then i'll be fabing up some air movers out of CF/or fiberglass to seal off all the incoming air to route to the IC, radiator, fresh air intake and brakes. Then fab up a air damn and belly up front, and a defuser in back. Those are next springs plans
