I have a 93 del sol with the d16z engine, the engine was bored to a 1.7L, it has zex stage 2 street/strip cam, je pistons, eagle rods, supposable built for 30 psi. There is also a full greddy turbo kit with intercooler, and blitz super sequincial(sp?) blow off valve, greedy prospec b2 and greddy turbo timer set at 6psi.
heres what happened
I put it in 3rd to pass a car, it spooled to 20 psi for some reason, and blew the dipstick out. When i looked under the hood there was oil in the 2 left spark plug sockets but the plugs werent blown out. When the car idols now the dipstick keeps blowing out. and from the left the first and 3rd cylinders have 60psi where the 2nd and 4th have 150psi. If anyone can help me out in any way with what they think might of happened, what i need to do now, or if they can come help me work on the engine it would be greatly appreciated. I think i found the problem, when honda installed the turbo kit they put the oil line at about a 90 degree angle and it was wedged against the waste gate bar, this was keeping the wastegate from opening at all and pressure was building up and blowing oil around the spark plug seals causing it to miss. I think this also blew the head gasket. If anyone knows where i can find instructions on replacing the head gasket please let me know. thanks drewh716@aol.com
