k20 swap
my friend decided to pick up a k20z1 for his 99 civic si. well my question is did the 2006 k20 drop the HP from 2005. i heard it was 210 on 2005 and now its 201 on 06. also i know we need lots of stuff for the swap. may be you guys who has done the swap before can tell me what is all needed and few problems you guys ran into. thanks.

correct. Same engines, different method used for determining the engines HP. Thats the short answer. I forget the details.

they just changed how horsepower was measured. But ya problems u might run into include it sitting too low in the engine bay( oil pan real close to the ground) shifter box problems, wiring is a pain i hear as well.

hey dont they sell the wire herness for those type of swap? and do you guys know anything about the ecu? i know you have to use the kseries hondata or send in the oem ecu to honda and something like that. how much does it cost if any one has done this swap before. thanks.
