Running lean
Alright my problem is my car runs lean. When I cruise down the road sometimes the check engine light comes and since my car car is OBD0, I have to look at the blinking lights but when I turn off the car it goes off and I cant check the codes. When I first got it about a month later it was misfiring because it welded the tip of a spark plug. I pulled the plugs and all of the were basically white. I then upgraded to platinum plugs and they havn't welded but it still runs lean. My setup is a B16, bored over for it's ITR Pistons, GSR cams, Cold air intake, 4-2-1 header, gutted cat (no emmisions where I live), and Thermal catback exhaust. It still has the stock injectors and fuel pressure regulator. The fuel pressure is dead on at 35psi, and my compression is 180 on all cylinders. I was told with my slight mods I should probably go up a little on the injectors, but I'm not sure since this is also my daily driver. This car only races autocross at the moment. I dont really plan on anything crazy like building it for a drag race car with maximum NA mods like ITB's. Anyways would I need something like a adjustable fuel pressure regulator or bigger injectors and if so what should I upgrade to. I have also heard that things in an engine should be balanced, for example you just cant add an aggressive cam to your motor and expect more power, you also have to increase air and fuel flow.
