So I sold my 98 Civic SI(Canada)
and bought a brand new Silver 2001 Prelude SE, it just got off the truck.

From a Civic SI to a Prelude ... now you know what REAL VTEC feels like ... if you are one to mod your car, a few hundred bucks on a AEM CAI and an exhaust will give noticeable gains in HP and an awesome sound!!!

 

i had my 98 civic coupe stolen right out of the driveway last week..now considering HP out of the box..the wife will kill me if i got a lude and start d messing with it

 

how do you like the car? are there any differences between US models and Canadian models?

 

Cool....Once you hit your 1000 miles mark, you can really feel what VTEC is like

 

Canadian one has heated seats and mirrors ... does the American??

 

Canadian Prelude SE has Leather seats, Heated seats, Heated Mirrors.

 

Dumb question, but how did you find a brand new 2001 Lude?? I'd have figured they'd be LONG gone by now.

I too have a 01 lude. I hope you didn't get the auto! Can you see a difference in engines. If you could please explain how the lude feels conpaired to your civic.

 

The dealership in Medicine Hat has seven of them(2001 Prelude SE) sitting in a warehouse. The power is way more impressive compared to the civic and yes I did buy the sportshift. Don't ask why!!!!!, I was tired off changing clutches on every vehicle I have had, I am very hard on them, it didn't matter what type of clutch I used after three months it would be toast, ACT, Exedy, Centerforce all of them slip eventually. I like the sportshift, good for city driving and then when you want to give er' of the line sportshift.

um, 3 monthes? you can't be serious, and if you are that aggresive a driver then how can you be satisfied with a slushbox?

 

I am happy with the so called slushbox and I am an aggresive driver but I take it out on my old car 93 Honda CX with a B18C5 swap and soon to be turbo.
