Default Any adverse effects of...

...Opening up that little valve near the driver's side of the intake manifold (not sure what it's called exactly, has 3 screws holding it together, labeled "UP", has a black circular rubber bit inside, when pushed upon idle increases), removing the spring inside, re-assembling it and driving around like that? I took it for a quick test drive 'round the neighborhood and it seemed fine.

This is on an unmodified (well, Apexi intake, but that's it) H23.
