Just get a cutting torch and try to make a straight line about where you think they caps would be.

When you put em on the crank, weld em back up nice and smooth so they fit tight on the crank.

Poof, no worries after that

Yes, im joking.

The rods have caps. They are very well made, and probably just have a very tight seam.

Dont pry with anything metal. Just take the bolts off and gently work the caps off.

Not trying to be offensive, but maybe you shouldn't build an engine on your own...

If you can't figure out how to get the end caps off rods....you sure as hell shouldn't be building your own engine.

qft typically means "quoted for truth". As stated above, your lack of knowledge on the subject (no offense) tends to alarm some of us who thought you were building it alone.

As you have cleared this up, then its no problem

Good luck with your build. Go slow, and be deliberate. Dont buy **** you dont need. Measure twice, cut once young padwan.

First, other than having all the required tools... you should have a detailed service manual or spend time on the internet finding everything to need to learn. Head over to your local book store or library and start studying.

um, i wouldnt beat my new manley rods (500 bucks) on concrete, i used a mallet and a block of wood, much safer for your rod
